Run time- 30 minutes

As the world falls victim to a global pandemic, a Black family draws closer together in the walls of their own home. They examine the crumbling world around them, the dangers new and old, and try to find a small bit of hope to wrestle through the answer to the ultimate question: What happens when the world opens up?

This one act play premiered as a part of the Society of the Performing Arts Houston Commission Project Series at Jones Hall in 2021. In addition, a community conversation with local artists and an artist chat can be viewed below.

In addition, this powerful reflection on creating work in the pandemic is being adapted into a feature length docufilm with the Houston Museum of African American Culture in 2022.
